    I have always wondered about that same soldier. I have seen that video many times. Did you ever find out who the soldier is?

      No. I recall sending emails to several sources who might have information, but never received any replies. Maybe I’ll try again.

      If you ever get any information on him, I hope you’ll let me know.

        Hello Mike,
        I thought I would fill you in on what I learned.

        I reached out to the national archives.

        They immediately knew the video we were referring to. Unfortunately the man we have all seen fall in said video is unknown. They lead me to an index card the army has to label events in archival footage. It had no identifiable info on it about the man.

        The video has a corresponding number to reference the video if you would lime to look further. As the army does not know who it was. I feel we may never know.

        It looks as though this will remain a mystery for now.
