This is a long, but critically important, story about national defense and the struggles that the US is having not only meeting the essential demands of Ukraine, but the potential demands of our own military.
At a time when the world is at least as dangerous as it was in the mid-1930s, our ability to quickly mobilize our industrial base for a major war has never been so limited.
Pointing fingers and laying blame is not an option. The only thing we can do now is make a serious, sustained, and accelerated — and predictably expensive — effort to course correct for our security and the security of our critical alliances.
