Welcome to Thinkwing Radio with Mike Honig (@ThinkwingRadio), a listener call-in show (every Wednesday night from 10-11PM CT) on KPFT-FM 90.1 (Houston). My engineer and discussion partner is Egberto Willies (@EgbertoWillies). Listen live on the radio or on the internet from anywhere in the world! When the show is live, we take calls at 713-526-5738. (Long distance charges may apply.)  For the purposes of this show, I operate on two mottoes:

  • You’re entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts;
  • An educated electorate is a prerequisite for a democracy.

GUESTS: CALLERS NOTE: This post is subject to update before and after the show. ______________________________________________________________________ Some of the links used for this show are BELOW the break: SOURCES (Below the break) Not all topics discussed on tonight’s show:

=======================================================

KPFT is a 501(c)3 non-profit, and it can always use your tax-deductible support.  Most of the folks who work and broadcast at KPFT are volunteers, but it still has fixed and variable expenses, and it still costs $150/hour, 24/7/365 to keep KPFT on the air.
KPFT does not accept corporate sponsors. Between 92% and 100% of KPFT‘s funding comes from individual listeners, and only about 1 listener in 16 helps to support KPFT at any given time. Whether you can only afford to pledge a couple of bucks or $1000, we appreciate whatever you can do. If you can’t pledge support at this time, we still appreciate that you listen to KPFT . Only 7 companies own about 30 of Houston’s 50-odd radio stations. Those 7 companies determine most of what you hear on your radio. KPFT airs 95 different programs every week. If KPFT has a format, that format is … almost anything you can think of! Since December 2013 on KPFT“ThinkwingRadio with Mike Honig” has brought you dozens of interesting guests and many uncommon or rarely heard topics of discussion. We have callers from across the political and ideological spectrum, and I endeavor to treat them all with respect and courtesy so we can generate a real flow of ideas. You can listen to almost any show I’ve ever done (going back to May 2010) by following the blog post announcements or going to the archive tab. (The Announcements tend to be more current.) Please support Thinkwing Radio! Please help support KPFT and keep community-supported radio on the air! Thanks, Mike Honig
