I’m kind of a news junkie. That’s why I post links to so many articles on this website. I’m also very picky about accuracy and facts. That’s why any article I post that sounds … peculiar … is something I’ll research first before wasting your time with it.
So when I saw this headline from ThinkProgress.org – TX GOP Official Opposes Jewish House Speaker: Christians ‘Are The People That Do The Best Jobs’ – I wanted to find and verify its source.
ThinkProgress.org is a Liberal site, and this is the kind of story that Liberals will just eat up, but just because I’m a Liberal myself doesn’t mean I take every word there as gospel. (That’s why my site is called “Thinkwing”.) So I tried to find the source of the original article that was being cited by many ‘hearsay’ websites.
The original article which I finally found, published by The Texas Observer, is a first-person report. That is, the person writing it is the person with the original facts and who did the original one-on-one interview with John Cook, a member of the Texas State Republican Executive Committee.
