Unite for America: A Proposal for a Compromise Candidate to Stop Trump

My additional message:

Trump is not just ideologically unacceptable to me. That’s trivial compared to the real threat he represents.

I believe he represents a genuine threat, both domestic and foreign, to this Republic as we have known it.

Sometimes history arrives at a pivot point, and I believe this is one of those times. The question before you is not partisan. It is a true conundrum for patriots.

Alexander Hamilton and James Madison clearly believed and intended that the Electoral College should not vote as robots, but as thoughtful and patriotic individuals concerned for country over party.

The only reason for the Electoral College to exist in modern times is to protect the country against just such an imminent threat as Donald Trump represents to this country.

Please do your job and do it well; as Americans, and not as partisans.
