Show Announcement: Harris Cty Democratic Chair Lane Lewis Will Join Me, Thursday July 26

On Thursday, July 26th from 9:30-9:55am (CDT), I will have the pleasure of interviewing Lane Lewis, the recently-elected Chair of the Harris County (TX) Democratic Party.  This will be the “Thinkwing Radio” edition of “Open Journal – Community Spotlight”. Among the topics I intend to discuss are the current primary runoff elections and Obama’s assertion that Texas can become a ‘toss-up’ state for the Democrats.

I hope to take some phone calls with Lane during the second half of the show.

You will be able to listen live in Houston on 90.1 FM, or online here.

The show will also be added to the Thinkwing Radio blog on the archive page shortly after it becomes available.

Show Announcement: Thursday June 14, Friday June 15 [Revised]

On Thursday and Friday this week at 9-9:30am (CDT), I will be sitting in for the KPFT general manager Duane Bradley to host “Open Journal – Community Conversation”. This program is a listener call-in format.

When the show is live, you can call 713-526-5738 and talk about how these or any other topics.

Two topics I would like to explore on Thursday morning:

  1. After the squirrely recall results in Wisconsin last week, do you trust our election process?
  2. Council Member Helena Brown (District A) thinks that a great way to save Houston city budget funds is to default on city pensions. (See Articles from the Houston Chronicle here and here.) Discuss

You can listen in Houston on 90.1 FM, or online here.

The shows will also be added to the Thinkwing Radio blog on the archive page shortly after they become available.
