UPDATED 12/11/13 (7:08pm): The show topic is “IRAN: Dictatorship? Democracy? Theocracy? And how did it become what it is?”
(PS: This will be my last show on Iran for at least a little while. Just FYI. Next week will be something completely different))
My guests tonight are Moji Agha of the Mossadegh Legacy Institute, and Muhammad Sahimi.
Moji Agha is an Iranian-American Sufi Monk, a cultural psychologist, bi-lingual poet, and peace and human rights and environmental activist. He is the founder of the Mossadegh Legacy Institute, and its project to create American circles of non-violence. For more information, go the show announcement and click on the link for the Mossadegh Legacy Institute.
Muhammad Sahimi, a professor at USC, has been analyzing Iran’s political developments and its nuclear program for nearly two decades. He is currently editor and publisher of the website, Iran News & Middle East Reports, www.imenews.com
UPDATE: 12/12/2013: We covered a lot of ground on the 12/11 show, but also left an important period — 1975 to the present — mostly untouched. In view of that, we’ll be doing a Part 2 this week (12/18/2013, 10-11PM CT)
This post is subject to update before and after the show.
