All Hands On Deck!”
Sharron Winbush lays out a blueprint for action.: “The GOP planned this coup years ago and (1) systematically closed polling places, (2) changed voting laws, and most important (3) MADE SURE EVERY REPUBLICAN VOTED IN EVERY SINGLE ELECTION FOR Alderman, Mayor, Congress, Senate, Governor, Judges to make sure KEY CITIES HAD REPUBLICAN OFFICIALS RUNNING CITY, STATE, CONGRESS, JUDICIAL SYSTEM and SENATE! which is how they EFFECTIVELY BOXED OBAMA IN so he couldn’t be as effective. WE MUST DO THE EXACT SAME THING.
1- START #IMMEDIATELY PLANNING OUR COUP; getting every person WHO DID NOT VOTE IN THIS ELECTION (40 million) engaged, those who voted 3rd party (10 MILLION!) back in line, and help the 21 million whose votes were suppressed, stolen etc.
2- GET NUMBERS & EMAILS of every DEMOCRATIC SENATOR, CONGRESSPERSON, MAYOR, GOVERNOR – all POLITICIANS and PASTORS of churches- IN STATES WHERE VOTES WERE SUPPRESSED and HELP THEM START NOW GETTING DRIVERS LICENSES for people.
3- And know WHERE the NEAREST POLLING PLACES ARE even if it’s 20 miles away; arranging buses to TRANSPORT PEOPLE TO & FROM THE POLLS and use camera phones to post on social media so that IN MID-TERMS WE FLIP CONGRESS and SENATE… PUT A WALL AROUND TRUMP’S POWER SO HE IS #INEFFECTIVE. Just like they did Obama.
WE MUST VOTE FOR Mayor, Governor, Congress, Senate, Judges, etc. ALL BODIES OF GOVERNMENT and WE MUST SHOW UP LIKE WE NEVER HAVE IN HISTORY!
THIS IS THE WORK! THIS IS WHAT WE MUST FOCUS ON! USE THEIR #BLUEPRINT to TAKE BACK WASHINGTON. But we must also TAKE BACK EVERY RED STATE. WE HAVE THE NUMBERS, BUT WE NEED #AllHandsOnDeck!”

DETAILS,
Space Junk: The World’s First LGBTQIA Drone Play
Opens in Houston Sept 23. 2016
By Josh Watkins
What: Space Junk: Do People Dream of Electric Children?
When: Premieres September 23, 7 p.m.; additional performances on September 25 and September 30–October 2.
Where: The Pilot on Navigation, 5102 Navigation Street
Tickets: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/space-junk-do-people-dream-of-electric-children-tickets-27519348111
We hear it all the time, “a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” Sounds familiar, right? That familiarity fades away in Space Junk: Do People Dream of Electric Children? Mel Petersen, founder of Amatol Productions, is revolutionizing stage productions. As Amatol’s first interdisciplinary theater production, Space Junk is a one-act sci-fi comedy that “bills itself as the world’s first drone play.”
“Space Junk utilizes drone technology to create a new form of puppeteering,” Petersen explains. There will be no actors found on stage, but instead, local artists will operate the drones as puppeteers while unseen voice actors bring the dialogue to life.
The play is about three drones on a spaceship in the far future, who are searching for replacements for their lost crew. Attempting to make sure that past mistakes don’t arise again, the drones try to become human. While mimicking human nature and making many choices, they ultimately learn that one can’t pretend to be something without facing consequences. Also, there’s a spaceship corridor chase scene, because as Petersen says, “You gotta have a corridor chase scene!”
Media Fall (Again) for Trump’s Latest Trap; Voting Rights Rulings in KS and OH: ‘BradCast’ 9/16/2016
Also: National polls tied; Bernie Sanders cautions against third-party voting; Stephen Colbert and Desi Doyen try to cheer us up…
On today’s BradCast, the corporate media fall for yet another Trump Trap, while we focus on crucial court rulings on voting rights in both Kansas and Ohio that could determine who ultimately wins the White House. [Audio link to the show posted below.]
First, the MSM beclowned itself yet again today, This time, giving free live coverage to the opening of Donald Trump’s new hotel and endorsements from some military members, as the Republican nominee eventually offered lies about his ‘birther’ claims, in which he has spent years attempting to de-legitimize President Obama as an American and all other African-Americans along with him.
That same de-legitimization effort is at work from Republicans around the country attempting to make it harder and often impossible for certain voters (Democratic-leaning ones, disproportionately African-American) to cast a vote in the upcoming election.
This week we saw court rulings, both good and bad… [Read the rest of this article here.]

Rep. Anthony Weiner: Great Video Moments On The House Floor [VIDEO]
I’m re-posting (from June 6, 2011) this short video compilation of some of Anthony Weiner’s best moments in the U.S. House of Representatives. At a time when he’s being seen by some (many? most?) as a pathetic laughingstock who should drop out of the race for mayor of New York City, it may be worth looking again at the passion he brought to the House, the good that he fought for for America, and his total unwillingness to be intimidated or shouted down.
Weiner has his personal problems, but he may also be the kind of combative, gutsy mayor that the 99% of New Yorkers need. ~ Mike

It Ain’t All Bad: Thoughts on the Obama-Romney First Presidential Debate (Oct. 3, 2012)
There was no joy in Democratic Mudville after the first presidential debate. Romney came across as energized, happy and (even when wrong) confident while, with the exception of the first and last 2 minutes ― obviously well-rehearsed beforehand ― Obama looked distracted and occasionally nonplussed.
It often seemed like Obama was having trouble connecting his thoughts into a coherent idea. He sometimes seemed so taken aback by Romney’s freewheeling statements, denials or refutations that he momentarily verged on speechless.
After the debate, the commentators on MSNBC ― Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, Al Sharpton, Chris Hays, Lawrence O’Donnell and Chris Matthews ― ranged from disappointed and visibly stunned (Maddow, Hays, O’Donnell), to freely-expressed anger (Schultz, Sharpton and Matthews).
Clearly from a debate point of view, Obama was not only judged to have lost; he was deemed to have barely shown up.
Such was last night’s unanimous verdict from all the talking heads, whether gleeful Romney-ites, woeful Obamians, or the rare objective observers (one of which was David Gergen on CNN, always a joy to hear for intelligent, balanced thoughtfulness).
There is, however, some interesting counter-thought on this whole “Obama was crushed in the debate” meme. Continue reading
SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT: Gun Rights Discussion (From Aug. 6, 2012) [AUDIO]
On Monday’s show, we had to listener comments which I felt deserved a little more research.
One caller cited an alleged quote from President Obama in which he claimed that Obama favored well-armed civilian militias:
“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
I expressed doubt as to either the veracity or context of the quote. He later emailed me this link on YouTube. The video contained no larger context for the quote. I then did a little more research Continue reading
Calculators: What will your taxes be under Romney vs. Obama? What Percent Are You? (Link to INTERACTIVE Calculators)
Juxtaposition can be a really cool thing. Check out both apps.
The www.barackobama.com/tax-calculator claims to calculate what your taxes would under a Mitt Romney tax plan versus what your taxes will be under Obama in a 2nd term.
On October 19,2011 the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) published this article written by Phil Izzo for the WSJ blog . It includes what is fast becoming a favorite app for seeing where you stand in the 99% (or perhaps the 1%, if you’re lucky).
You can read the article, or click on the link below to go straight to the app:

Also check out a version of the calculator created earlier by Robert Frank (July 28, 2011) for The Wealth Report that also looks at total wealth. Frank has now upgraded his calculator with “Frank’s Rich-O-Meter 3.0”.

The Wisconsin Recall Is Old News. Or is it?
I posted the opinion below in response to Wisconsin Recall: Hijacking or Pilot Error? (June 11, 2012). For election results, I used this article as reference: Wisconsin June 5 recall election results.
I have started a recount petition here: “Re-count The Wisconsin Recall”. Please consider signing.

Far be it from me to question your analytics of the situation, but I’m disappointed that more people are not asking the more fundamental question which I’ve been asking: Did Walker actually win? It is a truism that when exit polls and election results vary widely, the problem is probably with the election results (See: Ukraine, Nov. 2004). As we saw in 2000 and 2004, that rule doesn’t seem to apply in the United States.
Maybe it should. Continue reading
