Dr. Stephanie Thomas is an earth scientist and activist in Houston. She received her Ph.D. from Southern Methodist University, where she researched ancient climate and environmental change 251 million years ago by analyzing ancient soil in Northwest China. She received a B.S. from Tulane University and an M.S. from University of Nebraska. Stephanie is interested not only in the science of climate change, but also how we can shift our behavior to mitigate and adapt to environmental change by incorporating insights from neuroscience, human evolution, trauma resiliency, psychology, and sustainable practices.
